PKL, ever since the company started as a photomask division of ANAM Semiconductor in 1993 and became independent in 1995, has been dedicated to developing and manufacturing photomask technologies -
the core material in semiconductor and TFT-LCD manufacturing process - for the last 10 years.
By developing its own semiconductor photomask technologies in the early ages of the industry, PKL has significantly contributed to the technological independence of Korean semiconductor material industry and to the growth in the international trade profits.
In the 2000’s, PKL developed core photomask process equipments such as dry etchers and mask cleaners for its own use, and succeeded in producing TFT-LCD photomasks, proving it s technological superiority and responding strategically to the prospering TFT-LCD industry.
Photomask is a quartz plate that contains circuit information of semiconductors or TFT-LCD, and has a significant influence over the semiconductor and LCD qualities.
